The JBMSHP hosted a graduate school information session to help students prepare for their future academic journeys. Dr. Sharon Crook, director of the Mathematical, Computational, and Modeling Sciences Center (MCMSC), shared valuable faculty insights into the graduate school application process, including how to connect with faculty, secure letters of recommendation, and take steps as an undergraduate to strengthen future applications.

JBMSHP graduate students Benjamin Portal-Pomerenke, Sarah Calcaterra, Frederick Morrison, and Katarina Fenner also shared their personal graduate school experiences and offered advice on selecting degree programs and identifying funding opportunities. Their insights provided students with practical guidance and a better understanding of what to expect when pursuing graduate education.
